The protagonists are sharing why and with what kind of goals there are politically involved in the movement. They take us to an autobiographically and politically journey in terms of their life’s and their activism inside a shared frame, a political, cultural and social mobilization against patriarchy.

Throughout that documentary you will get familiar with the processes and personal formations within the story with all their similarities and differences. You´ll going to get to know the impressive motivations which they have inside their political ideals and their way of living in order to make the world a better place for everyone. In that sense you will get confronted with topics like the local LGBTQI+ Pride from their beginning to nowadays as well as the fight for the legalization of abortion in Argentina and the implementation of the laws such as equal marriage rights, the law for the gender identities. In their interviews they are highlighting, that all those achievements are not a gift falling down from the sky but rather than are results of political organizations and fights.

Also, they will illustrate the need of continue fighting in order to promote an equal and diverse future. Their personal experience is source of their fight and at the same hand the strategy from the movements which they are representing. At the same time the project points out that the motivation of living in a fairer society is the motor of their fight. This motor is the fight for a society who should recognize their being and rights in order to fight against the institutional and concrete violence of the patriarchy.

Motivation

The idea of making this documentary is based on our fascinating experience when we got to know some political, cultural and social projects as well as protests here in Buenos Aires. The local LGBTQI+ movements so popular, resistant, supportive and intelligent impacted us in their way of fighting and transforming reality in a context of a very brutal economic crisis.

Buenos Aires is a multicultural city, in which there are a variety of ideologies where a multitude seeks to break paradigms collectively. The fact that hundreds of thousands of people come together to march in the city center not only fills these days with hope, rather than also conveys this spirit in everyday life. This is how our desire became a reality and we were able to accompany the protagonists to their places of activism to deepen and reflect from their perspectives these historical moments. We hope to be able to transmit this exciting learning through the voices of those who are part of this movement so that we can all inspire and motivate ourselves in the collective search towards a future in which patriarchy is a historical matter.
